mongoowl Installation

A mongoowl does not need to install script that is available separately because it can run only with a JAVA’s war file. You make sure that the JDK is installed correctly on your computer.

Download the mongoowl’s file. You can download it from the download page. The name of mongoowl file is ‘mongoowl.war’.

Installation file of the JDK can be downloaded from Oracle. A mongobird was developed base on Java 6 update 35. So, we are recommended to install jdk 6u36 or higher. Please note, you must select the normal bin file not rpm version when you select file to download. When the download is complete, copy the downloaded jdk file to the folder ‘jdkinst’ included in the files extracted from the mongoowl.tgz file.

cp /download/jdk-6u35-linux-x64.bin jdkinst/
cd jdkinst
./jdkinst.sh

Run mongoowl as follow:

java -jar mongoowl.war
http://127.0.0.1:8080/mongoowl
